Over the past weeks, we’ve showcased different employee advocacy case studies.
To round it off - we will walk through the FAQs around all things employee advocacy.

FAQS on Employee Advocacy
1. How do I motivate my employees to regularly participate in our advocacy program and share content?
Foster internal motivation: Remind them why it matters and why now. We all face mental barriers, and it’s something we don’t have to navigate alone. Let’s open up the conversation as a team, sharing and understanding each other’s challenges. This will foster internal motivation.
Here is the deck that got us started:
Curate Feeds: For employees to regularly participate they must enjoy their LinkedIn time. A crucial factor is the appeal of their feed. To make it more engaging, here’s a simple strategy that worked for us:
Identify your favourite content creator.
Note down their frequently used keywords.
Search for similar creators with those keywords.
Follow them and save engaging posts.
Regularly review saved posts to find new creators and keywords, then repeat.
2. How can we ensure the content is relevant and interesting to both our employees and their networks?
Network Analysis: Assess the overlap between employees’ networks and your ideal customer profile (ICP) to tailor content that resonates with both groups.
3. What’s the best way to train employees on how to use LinkedIn effectively for advocacy without overwhelming them?
Simplified To-Do Lists: Provide clear, manageable actions that employees can take to engage with their network without feeling overwhelmed.
Scheduled LinkedIn Time: Encourage blocking out specific times for LinkedIn activities, making it a prioritized part of their workflow.
Collaborative Environment: Foster a community of sharing through, i.e., Slack channels, memes, and interactive content, making the advocacy program enjoyable and engaging.
4. How do we measure the success of our employee advocacy program? What metrics should we focus on?
Establish Clear KPIs: Focus on metrics that reflect true engagement and reach, such as collective follower growth, post frequency, engagement rates, impressions, and the direct impact on lead generation (inbound DMs).

Leverage Tools: Utilise analytics platforms to streamline reporting and gain insights. Tools like shield (lol shameless plug).
5. How can we scale our efforts efficiently and manage a larger pool of participating employees?
Team Requirements: Understand your capacity. What is that you need? Evaluate whether internal team expansion or external partnerships (agencies) are necessary for growth.
Content Creation Tools: Invest in tools that simplify content creation and distribution, making it easier for employees to contribute. This is what we use:
Figma and Adobe creative cloud for creative visuals
ChatGPT for reasoning in writing process
